Who is eligible?
Membership is available to those who live, work (or regularly conduct business in), worship, or attend school in Erie County, New York. Businesses and other legal entities located in Erie County may become members as well.
Getting Started
There are three ways to start the membership process. Choose the one that works best for you.
- Fill out our short online Membership Application Form. After you send it to us, one of our friendly Members Service Representatives will contact you.
- Visit our Orchard Park or East Aurora locations during regular business hours.
- Request a membership packet by calling 716-662-1311, Option #6.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT OR ESTABLISHING A NEW CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all U.S. financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each individual or legal entity that opens an account or establishes a customer relationship with Great Erie Federal Credit Union. Federal law also requires all U.S. financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies the beneficial owners of a legal entity that opens an account or establishes a customer relationship.
What this means for you: if you enter into a new customer relationship with Great Erie Federal Credit Union, our credit union employee will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other identification information (as applicable). In addition, if you enter into a new customer relationship with Great Erie Federal Credit Union on behalf of a legal entity, we will ask for the names, addresses, dates of birth and other identification information of the beneficial owners of the legal entity. This information will be used to verify your identity and, in the case of a legal entity customer, the identity of the beneficial owners. As appropriate, the credit union may, at its discretion, ask for additional documentation or information. If all required documentation or information is not provided, Great Erie Federal Credit Union may be unable to open an account or establish a relationship with you.
