Your credit union, (the staff & members) have been busy little elves this December.
Great Erie once again supported Simple Wishes for the Holidays by being the collection site for various donated items:
- Adult Hats, Gloves, Scarves & Socks
- Throw Blankets
- Large Print Puzzle Books
- Stuffed Animals
Wendy Backman, Executive Director of Senior Wishes picked up the donations earlier this month to prepare for her staff to distribute these gifts to our seniors within our community and remind them that they are not forgotten over the holidays. THANK YOU to all who donated to make this holiday campaign a success. A special thank you to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Orchard Park for their many handmade afghans.
In addition to Simple Wishes, the staff at Great Erie adopted a family for the holidays to support the Rural Outreach Center. This support helps ease the financial burden of the holidays and ensures that children and families living in rural poverty have a truly wonderful Christmas. Last year, the community brought joy and cheer to over 50 families.
