Request for Volunteers

Join Our Team! Volunteer for the Board of Directors
The Great Erie Board has created two positions of associate director to improve diversity on the Board and provide a succession program with trained, qualified candidates.

These volunteers will serve one-year terms and attend all board meetings. They will have the same training, education, and responsibilities as elected Directors. They will contribute to discussions, offer opinions, and represent our members' interests. Their only restriction is the ability to vote on motions.

Objectives of the Associate Director Program

  • To acquire and train quality volunteers for future Board positions.
  • To support the AD in understanding Great Erie's history, mission, and vision.
  • To share the skills and knowledge of experienced directors and staff.
  • To provide support in locating educational resources and resource people.
  • To foster communication and encourage participation and confidence.
  • To assist the AD in following the NCUA rules, regulations, and bylaws.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering offers the chance to:

  • Make a Difference: Impact the financial integrity of our credit union.
  • Gain Experience: Enhance your skills in financial oversight and auditing.
  • Network: Connect with professionals and community leaders.

Ideal Candidate

We seek individuals who are:

  • Detail-oriented: Focused and accurate.
  • Financially Savvy: Knowledgeable in financial practices.
  • Trustworthy: Known for integrity.
  • Committed: Ready to dedicate time to the program.
